The Farm Axe (28”), cuts extremely well, and is equally adept at bucking trunks and limbs and splitting rounds of even 24” diameter. The craftsmanship and quality of the head and “curvy” handle are uniformly high, and it is a pleasure to use.

Awesome tool. Splits wood with ease. tree fell recently and was able to strip branches, chop, and split with the one axe. worth the wait!
Perfect size and wait for a boys axe. Light enough to carry with you, heavy enough to pack a punch on the camp site.
Staff was professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. Received my Farm Axe in a timely manner. Items were well protected in the packaging. As soon as it got to the ranch, it has been a work horse. I have cut cords upon cords of wood now stacked on pallets. Handle is comfortable, axe blade was sharp as heck, making work easy. Also purchased a Mountaineer for the wife, she loves it. Will be purchasing more items for sure.

The sheath is incredibly well made! But I put it on incorrectly as the snap has to face away from you and the head, not toward you. It fits perfectly that way.
This is just what I've been looking for to add to my backpacking kit. I needed a hammer for my tent pegs, an axe for fire wood, and a large knife for making tinder, and doing camp tasks. The overall weight is perfect to replace a small saw and a large knife: it has the power and blade length to accomplish the common tasks of setting up camp, while having the edge control to cut food, whittle sticks, and make the small items required to support comfort in the outdoors. I've waited for several years for the opportunity to obtain this small axe, and it is exactly what I have been hoping for.
