Our axes are designed and forged to be used, and to last. Axe maintenance is important, and small nicks and dings and cleaning can be done yourself using products like our Arctic Fox Sharpening Stone, or Wicked Wax. However, sometimes a more major repair is needed. We understand that not everyone has the tools and skills to mend this themselves!
This is why we offer our customers the peace of mind of knowing that we offer free handle replacement, sharpening, and sheath replacement in our Legacy Guarantee.

Questions you might have
Is this the same as your regular warranty?
No, as rare as it may occur, we guarantee our products against defects and flaws by default. Our Legacy Guarantee applies specifically to refurbishing, free of charge.
Does this cost me anything?
We offer our refurbish services for free. When you purchase a Hoffman Axe you're purchasing our Legacy Guarantee. The only cost to you is shipping.
What qualifies for the Legacy Guarantee?
Any repair or major cleaning qualifies. We will replace broken or cracked handles, resharpen your axe head, polish the poll, and replace a damaged sheath regardless of the cause.
How do I send it to you?
After contacting us to start your Legacy Guarantee claim, box your Hoffman Axe as securely as you can. Keep in mind a sharp axe can cut through boxes easily if dropped. Use either USPS, UPS, or FedEx, and mail to

Does the Legacy Guarantee cover modifications I've made to the axe?
If the axe has been modified outside of regular maintenance and upkeep it is not eligible for refurbishing. Example: Intentionally burning your handle will void the Legacy Guarantee.
How long will you have my axe?
Depending on the severity of the repair or cleaning, our process could take up to 2 weeks.
