I’m still babying the handle with boiled linseed oil, which is exquisite but I’m near done now , it soaked up quite a bit.
The fit and feel of the axe bespeaks of quality craftsmanship. I am extremely pleased with the axe and am looking forward to using it.

I split two face cords of maple, poplar, birch - the wood bullet worked as advertised. It has enough weight to hit bigger rounds with some extra effort, but is not nearly as tiring as using a heavy maul.
This was a gift for my husband for our anniversary. He absolutely loves it and that’s not an understatement. The craftsmanship, quality, and your ability are unmatched. And I personally think the axe is a work of art. This is something he can pass down in our family.
Wax is amazing it goes on easy and the the product makes everything look great from the handle to the head of the axe
The craftsmanship is seen at the moment you open the box! The leather work was top notch on the overstrike and axe head. The axe handle had the grain running straight from top to bottom of the handle. The forging of the axe is last for decades from now!
As the saying goes “You get what you pay for” is spot on with the Wood Bullet.

Looks Sweet ,I've done several myself this is truly another Hoffman custom I thought mine were "nice " they are but not on this level, and you talk about tight this thing is like a 1820's corset! Beauty and function great-Job !
This is my second LH axe and I absolutely love it! From the hammer head poll and top notch adventure grade sheath, I couldn't ask for more. The octagonal handle with bulb end allows for excellent control while using and I can't recommend this combo enough. Great job as always!

But the important part is how well does it split wood?I'venow split 5 cords of wood and the verdict is in: this axe is an amazing wood splitter!!

Great craftsmanship, beautifully made axe If you enjoy a great tool. I have only split one truck load of campfire and smoker wood being its summer but is a great axe for the job.
