Absolutely love my farm axe with phantom bevels, on the 32” handle. Fit and finish are the best I’ve had on any axe and I have over 30 of them. The 32” handle is perfect for me. Wouldn’t want it any longer, but don’t think I could get the whip with a shorter handle (maybe the 28”, I don’t know).A great design and perfectly executed.
I own somewhere between 30-40 axes. Most are vintage. And great quality. But this Farm Axe from Liam and the boys, is by far my new favorite axe. AlsoHuge thankyou to the Customer Service. Thanks to their help I was able to get an axe faster than expected. I had pre ordered one, and a couple days later got a notification about fam axes being available. Even though they didn’t have the one I had pre ordered, they were able to change my order and accommodate me with an axe with a slightly shorter handle. So thank you again. Anyone who is thinking about buying one of these, Do it! I’ve been watching Liam’s videos on YouTube for about 6 years! I should have bought one sooner!
What a great hatchet that has far exceeded my expectations. You can't really explain the quality and attention to detail that went into the axe, it's something you have to behold for yourself. If you have the money to buy and support this American Small Business then do it. You won't regret it.

I always make my own strike guards out of para-cord because I have rolls of it from my days as a Soldier. However, to wrap my Hoffman Wood bullet in para-cord would be like painting a rare classic car with rattle cans...not gonna do it!
Hoffman's leather strike guard is the perfect finish for an axe of this caliber. The fit and workmanship is outstanding!
The axe is a very well made axe. It worth the extra money in every way. It will for sure be a family our-loom and be past down. The Wasath will be my truck axe.

This axe was worth the wait! Handleimperfect fit a feel for the 5# weight of the head. I have not the opportunity to try it out splitting wood, but if it works as well or better as my 70 year old hytest tasmanian axe, I will be a happy happy splitting fool! Great chopping axe. The pick however is thick. Good for pulling wood towards you but dosent stick in too well without some added effort.
Hi Matthew, the Fireman's hatchet actually isn't designed to be used as a pickaroon. The pick on our fireman's axe is intended not to stick or get stuck in materials. It's designed to knock windows out, bust locks, make vent holes in buildings ETC.
Truly the best splitting axe in the world! It’s a work of art and exceeded all expectations. In my opinion the value is in the incredible craftsmanship combined with the fact it does exactly what it was designed to do…split wood effortlessly and efficiently.
I liked the belt a whole lot except for the holes are too small. They are very hard to find and get the belt buckled. If the holes were elongated or larger it would be awesome.
Hi Christopher, the leather will break in over time. When it's new (especially being a thick heavy duty belt) the leather Is stiff. If you still find it difficult we'd be happy to make the holes larger for you. Our customer service team's here to help if needed.
