The Camp Axe features a 2.25 pound head weight . It's ideal in handle lengths ranging from 19-28 inches, making it one of the most versatile "do-all" axes we offer. Throw it in the back of your truck or backpack; this heirloom tool will serve you well with most tasks around your house or in the forest. Our iconic original stepped poll lengthens the poll and affects weight distribution without adding additional weight to the axe head. Like all of our axes, the poll is hardened to prevent mushrooming.Optionally, you can choose to add a custom leather sheath below.

Featuring the standard LH logo stamp on the right side, this axe also has a ‘M’ logo on the left side of the axe, signifying both the Makers who will have the experience of hanging your Hoffman Axe on a handle of your choosing, and the Blue Ridge Mountains where it was forged.
One of a kind
All of our axes are hand forged, and one of a kind like a fingerprint. The axe head you receive may vary in texture from the pictured axe. If you notice a black line or “stretching” near the eye of your axe this is completely normal, and a part of the hand forging process of the eye.
