The "Hefty Haft"

The “Hefty Haft” is a 6.5lb art piece that demonstrates many different forging techniques and shows how forging is another form of sculpting from a blacksmith’s perspective. The handle is forged into an I-beam using fullers and upsetting to gain length and strength without added weight. All edges are rounded by a hammer to give a comfortable grip. This axe is fully usable, if you have the stamina to wield it! Comes with sheath. 4142 steel.
