T-Bone
The T-Bone is the first T spine knife I have ever completed. A T-spine knife refers to the cross section in the spine of the blade which forms a T shape, similar to an I beam used in modern construction. This geometry allows for a thin and strong blade and originates in Persia near modern day Afghanistan. The amount of forging into this T spine design takes this knife to the next level compared to other integrals. This is the first knife where I have successfully left a forged finish on the spine and tang, meaning more attention to forging has to be made. The full tang handle is sculpted and carved giraffe leg with domed pure fine silver pins. This is a very memorable piece for me incorporating several “firsts” and an incredibly unique piece in my repertoire and in the modern knife world in general.
