Our axes are hand forged from a block of 4142 chrome/moly alloy steel in the Blue Ridge mountains on the Western North Carolina, Eastern Tennessee line and heat treated to 55.5 HRC. The heads are hung on straight grained hickory handles made from cabinet grade kiln dried lumber. Each handle is hand fitted with a drawknife.

The Farm Axe has a head weight of 4.5 pounds and a handle length of 32 or 28 inches. This axe is an excellent choice for those who want a full size felling axe which can be taken out to fell and buck a tree on the property, or split your wood for the winter. The poll is hardened so it can be used as a proper hammer to drive large stakes in the ground, budge implements, or drive splitting wedges.

Sheaths are hand made with thick vegetable tanned water buffalo leather. 100% made in house. Overbuilt and ready to use, because overkill never fails.
